CAFCL : Eguma Expects Tough Game With Watanga In Monrovia
The Technical Manager of Rivers United FC of Port Harcourt Stanley Eguma has expressed opinion that the return leg of the CAF Champions League match this weekend in Monrovia against Watanga FC is going to be a tough one despite their 3-0 first leg win in Port Harcourt.
According to him they are going to work extra hard in the return leg because if Watanga FC could stop them in the second half in the first leg in Port Harcourt from scoring a goal, the return leg is not going to be an easy game.
Eguma made the assertion in a recent chat with sports journalists in respect of the second leg of the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League match slated for this Sunday in Monrovia.
He said that they were not going to depend on the 3-0 first leg win at home but would fashion out strategies to ensure they qualify for the second round of the preliminary round of the competition.
“ We will not rely on the 3-0 first leg victory at home but work out strategies that will make us to win in Monrovia this weekend.
“ Watanga FC is a strong side, good team and champions in the Liberia league.
“ We are going to see a tougher game than what we play in Port Harcourt.
“ However, we are not going to defend because if we play a defensive game, it may be counter productive.
“ So we are going there to attack and see how we can get more goals” Eguma stated.
The technical manager disclosed that some of his players that were injured during the first leg of the CAF Champions League tie will be examined by the team medical personnel, adding that some of them will be available in the return game.
