King made the expression early in the week in a chat with Tidesports, shortly after his players saw off Covenant Pacific FC 1-0 in the final match of the under 14 of the Kings Summer Football Competition for Under 14 and 16 at the Okoloma Community Secondary School, Afam in Oyigbo LGA of Rivers State.
He said that he was proud of his players for reaching the final of the competition and going a step further to winning the trophy.
“ I am proud of my boys for making me feel happy for reaching  the final stage of the competition and also by winning the trophy,” King said.
He gave them kudos, saying that it was not easy to achieve what they did in the tournament. He charged them to keep it up.
He thanked all the parents and guardians of his players for allowing their children to participate in the competition.
The highest goal scorer of the competition was Bright Kiadum, who scored a total of six goals, while Banigo Tonye emerged the best goalkeeper, having kept clean sheet throughout the tournament.
