Three Govs, PDP BoT Member Flag Off, Unveil Four Projects In Rivers

Rivers State will go agog again, this week, as the state government resumes another round of flag off and inauguration of four strategic infrastructure projects across the state.
The programme will last for four days, beginning from today.
This time, two serving governors from the South-East, a former governor in the North-East, and Board of Trustees (BoT) member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from the South-West will be hosted by the state government to perform the ceremonies.
The two key projects billed for commissioning are the Ogbum-Nu-Abali sandfill area/estate layout, and the Omerelu internal roads construction.
Also to be flagged off are the Eneka and Igwuruta internal roads construction.
The Tide can authoritatively report that the former governor of Gombe State, Dr Ibrahim Dankwambo, will perform the flag off of construction of Eneka internal roads in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, today.
Tomorrow, the Enugu State Governor, Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, will inaugurate the Ogbum-Nu-Abali unveiling of land reclamation, shore protection, road network, drains, power station and water reticulation, and housing complex (sandfill area/estate layout) in Port Harcourt City Local Government Area.
On Wednesday, the Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, will flag off construction work of the Igwuruta internal roads network in Ikwerre Local Government Area.
However, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustee (BoT) member and leader of the party in Lagos State, Chief Olabode George, will officially commission the newly constructed Omerelu internal roads network in Ikwerre Local Government Area.
An earlier schedule shows that the flag off of the construction of Igwuruta internal roads was to have been performed on Monday, August 22; while the commissioning of Ogbum-Nu-Abali land reclamation, shore protection, road network, drains, power station and water reticulation, as well as housing complex was to have been done on Tuesday, August 23; just as the Eneka internal roads network construction was originally billed for flag off on Thursday, August 25.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Council, Barrister George Ariolu, has extended the gratitude of the people of the area to the state Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, for embarking on the construction of another network of internal roads in the area.
A statement he personally signed, yesterday, in his office at the council headquarters, Rumuodomaya, he Ariolu, said, that embarking on the construction of the strategic roads at this time in the life of the administration shows the love the governor has for the people of the area.
The statement reads in full: “Obio/Akpor Local Government Council Chairman, Barrister George Ariolu, joyfully welcome Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, to the flag off ceremony for Eneka internal roads on Monday, August 29, 2022, at 10:00am.
“Your Excellency, the people of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area appreciates all you do for her people especially for putting Rivers State first in all your programmes.
“On this premise, I urge the good people of Obio/Akpor Local Government to turn up in their numbers and give our brand Ambassador a rousing welcome to a ReNEWed Obio/Akpor.”
