Auto Accident Claims One In PH

The Rivers State Police Command has called on members of the public whose relations are missing to visit it with a view to identifying for the body of a young man allegedly knocked down by a car on the 11 of may 2022.
The was contained in a press release by the Traffic officer state traffic division, Nigeria police port Harcourt, CSP Christian Cyril.
Eyewitness account informed the Tide that the deceased whose identity remains unknown was allegedly knocked down by a car along the Elimgbu junction in Obio/Akpor local government area.
According to the account the deceased in an attempt to dodge a tricycle jumped on top of the bonnet of a car and was knocked down.
The deceased whose identity was unknown was said to have died instantly.
The driver of the vehicle was said to have carried the deceased body to the Elimgbu police station.
The Tide also learns that since the incident no member of the public had come out to claim his body.
According to the press release, “today 11/05/2022 at about 153hrs a case of fatal motor accident transferred from Elimgbu Divisional police headquarters Rumuewhara farm road Port Harcourt received and referred for investigation”
The release said the driver of the vehicle reported that he knocked down a male pedestrian name and address and relatives unknown while crossing the road..
It said the victim died at the spot as a result of the accident.
