Rector Rates School Football Competition High

The Rector of Captain Elechi Amadi Polytechnic, Rumuola in Rivers State, Dr Samuel Kalagbor, has described this year’s Rector Football Competition of the institution as the best.
He explained that the organization and coordination of this year’s edition was better than the previous ones, as the students exhibited maturity, friendliness and orderliness throughout the tournament.
Dr Kalagbor said this over the weekend at the closing ceremony of the tournament at the school sports ground.
He equally said that the vision of the institution is not only to produce students that are academically sound, but also to create an enabling environment for students to showcase their talents in sports.
According to him, the management of the school is considering to include other sports events like table tennis, tennis and volleyball in subsequent editions as it will become sports competition and no more football competition.
“In our previous editions we only provided football and jerseys for the seven teams that participated. But by His grace, next edition, we will also provide boots for the teams
“I urge all students to start training for the forthcoming sporting activities next year “, Dr. Kalagbor said.
