Prophet Dupes Nursing Mother N3.8m Over Miracle In PH

A prophet in one of the new generation churches residing in Port Harcourt, Rivers State has allegedly defrauded a nursing mother, Mrs Sorle Akari to the tone of N3.8 million with an intent to organise and work for her a spiritual protection and miracle breakthrough deliverance work that would put to an end spiritual miscarriages in her marriage.
The Prophet simply called and identified as Smile Eboh was said to have engaged the mother of one through an agent that he was going to fast and pray on her behalf for a miracle, breakthrough and to destroy the spirit that had been responsible for several miscarriages in her marriage .
Mrs Akari in an interview with newsmen in Port Harcourt on Thursday disclosed that she was introduced to Prophet Eboh by a friend whom she complained to about the series of miscarriage she was having in 2020 not knowing that she was part of their syndicates.
Mrs Akari revealed that the Prophet who was residing at Rumuigbo when she met with him, told her that the problem would be solved if only she would be able to raise the sum of N3, 800, 000 (three million, eight hundred thousand naira) which would be used to purchase the spiritual materials needed and also to consult other ‘Men of God’ that would assist in doing the prayer and fasting work .
The woman averred that satisfied with conversation with the prophet , she became convinced, interested and had to sell her valuables ,jewelry and even borrowed money to raised the N3.8 million naira as demanded and gave it to the Prophet for the spiritual work .
She told journalists that she became suspicious of his ability to deliver on the job , when she discovered that everything the Prophet Eboh did for her was not working and noted that all the whole thing was aimed at defrauding her.
“When it became clear it was fraud, I went to Prophet Smile Eboh’s house to demand for the refund of the money but was shocked in disbelief that he had packed out of his house to an unknown place”
“He now resorted to threatening my life when I told him to refund the money he fraudulently collected from me under the guise of stopping the series of miscarriage”, she stated.
Mrs Akari further alleged that the Prophet has vowed to deal with her if she continued to request for the refund of the money and appealed to the Commissioner of Police and the public to come to her rescue.
However when contacted on phone, prophet Smile Eboh denied the allegation and urged the woman to provide details of the monetary transaction with him.
Our correspondent reports that the Commissioner of Police, CP Eboka Friday has acted on a petition sent to his office by Mrs Sorle Akari to the Human Rights desk at Police headquarters, Moscow road for further Investigation in the matter.
