NDLEA Arrests Deformed Female Suspect With 24 Sacks Of Cannabis In Rivers …Urges Drug Users To Seek Advice From The Agency

As the fight against illegal dealings in drugs and substances gather momentum, the operatives of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Etche Area Command of Rivers State Command, has launched an offensive attack and arrested one Celina Ekeke believed to be a drug peddler.
This was contained in as statement by the Agency’s Public Relations Officer, Assistant Commander, Emmanuel Ogbumgbada and made available to the Press in Port Harcourt recently.
According to the statement the suspect was arrested during a search operation by the Agency on Wednesday June 29, 2022 at Obunku community of Oyigbo Local Government Area of the state.
It also revealed that the suspect is a notorious drug dealer who has been on its watch list for some time.
The suspect, it hinted was arrested with 24 sacks of substance believed to be cannabis sativa which weighed about 231.2kg.
“She has been on the watch list of the Agency for some time now as she uses her deformed legs to disguise and sell illicit drugs”, it revealed.
The arrested as indicated, was executed about about 0200 hours on the said date by operatives of the Agency working of credible report.
It also expressed regrets that the suspect who is deformed in both legs uses same as cover to perfect her illegal drug dealings.
The statement added that the suspect is presently undergoing investigation at the Rivers State Command headquarters in Port Harcourt.
In addition, the State Commander, Ahmed Mamuda restated the Agency’s earlier warning to all drug dealers to desist forth with.
Mamuda said that the reason for such warning was due to its relentless effort to fight against illegal dealings in drugs and substances.
We will surely fish them out, particularly as the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of NDLEA Rtd Brig. Gen Buba Marwa has charged us to go on offensive action against all drug dealers”, he said.
He also use the medium to call on the public to give always give them credible information that will enable them sanitize the society against the use of hard drugs.
Meanwhile he had called on drug users to seek early advice from the Agency to enable them live a better life.
