Fubara, Ordu Won’t Disappoint Rivers People In 2023, Group Assures …Mobilises For 100% Victory
A non-governmental organisation (NGO)in Rivers State, the Rivers Patriotic Youths’ Development Initiative (RIPAYDI), an umbrella grassroots mobilisation body, has vowed that the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, Sir Siminialayi Joseph Fubara, and his deputy governorship flagbearer, Prof Ngozi Ordu, would not take the trust of the people for granted, if voted into power.
Speaking with The Tide shortly after her National Executive Council (NEC) meeting in Bori, the headquarters of Khana Local Government Area, President of the group, Hon. Evans Pighi, stressed that Fubara and Ordu, were poised to elevate the people above poverty level, and would not disappoint the masses as governor and deputy governor, respectively.
The group, which is on grassroots mobilisation of votes for the Fubara-Ordu ticket, said the state under them would be placed on a new path of progress and development.
Pighi said: “The governorship candidate and his running mate would reshape the face of the state for the well-being of the electorate in the oil-rich state.
“This primary victory could not have been easy but for the courage of the good people of Rivers State, who worked hard to ensure that Fubara emerged as governorship standard-bearer in order to retain our mandate.
“I am overwhelmed by his love and support to the masses, especially the indigent among them, and will not disappoint the people but instead will take the state to a greater pedestal and better future.
“Our state will now turn a new page, and we can now look forward to a brighter future and path for progress and abundant prosperity for our people. The coming victory will be dedicated to all those wishing good things for the state.
“We are ready to ensure that victory which comes throug has the body is poised to mobilise for 100percent victory votes in 2023,”Pighi declared.
Meanwhile, the group has commended the development strides of the Chairman, Khana Local Government Area, Dr. Bariere Thomas, within the past one year in office, describing his infrastructural development, including construction of school at Bean and human capacity building, as monumental.
Pighi assured the chairman of their support for the overall development and progress of the area, within the life-span of the administration in the area.
