Body Building’ll Explore Youths’ Potential – ABBFN President

The President of the Amateur Body Building Federation of Nigeria (ABBFN), Soye Elekima has declared that the sport will explore the manpower and potential of Youths for them to have skill, be reliable and useful members of the society.
According to him a lot of young people today are getting involved in the sport because of the benefits others have gotten from it, noting that before now, people did not see the sport as being attractive.
Soye made the assertion yesterday in a Radio programme monitored by Tidesports in Port Harcourt.
He said that the just concluded Ultimate Night of C hampions of ABBFN in Lagos has discovered a lot of youths in the sport,  disclosing that over 40 students participated in the event which was used to screen athletes that will represent the country in the West Africa championship slated for Ghana later this month.
“ The Amateur Body Building Federation of Nigeria is charged with the duty to monitor, control, train, harness and explore the manpower and the potential of the youth for them to have skill and be useful as reliable members of the society.
‘Before, they used to see Body Building as something that is not attractive but today a lot of people are getting involved in the sport” Soye said.
The ABBFN President further explained that the just concluded Ultimate Night of Champions was used to select athletes that will represent the country in the Africa championship in Ghana.
