As ladies paint and flush their faces with make-up brushes on a daily basis while going to work or going about their businesses, they need to clean the brushes after use.
It is trendy these days to see ladies painting their faces to appear glamorous. It really adds flavour to their beauty.
Dermatologists and make-up artists say such tools should be cleaned at least once a week. This they say is to prevent bacteria being built in them which can cause reactions especially on the face.
For those who are in the business and those who handle make-up on their own, one of the best methods of cleaning make-up tools is to use water and mild detergents.
The ways to go about it for your brushes to become new are:
Wet the brushes with lukewarm water
Put a drop of make-up brush cleanser or soap in the palm of your hand.
Gently massage the tips of the brushes in your palm.
Rinse the brushes.
Squeeze out the excess moisture with a clean towel.
Reshape the brush head.
Let the brush dry with it’s bristles hanging off the edge of a counter, to enable it dry in the correct shape.  Never let your brushes dry on a towel otherwise they will become twisted.
Mid-wash, keep the base of the brush head away from soap and water.  The bristles are glued to the base and water and detergent can cause the glue to disintegrate and bristles to become loosened.
Do not dry vertically, otherwise it will cause water to leak into the ferrule, that is the piece that joins the bristles to the wand, which can loosen the glue used in producing it.
