Rivers AITEO Cup: Police Crime Busters Book Ticket For Final
Police Crime Busters FC of Port Harcourt have qualified for the final of this year’s Rivers State AITEO Football Competition.
The Busters beat hard fighting Love FM FC 2-1 to book the slot on Wednesday at Sharks Stadium, Port Harcourt.
Speaking with Tidesports in an exclusive interview shortly after the game, coach of Busters, ASP Douye Ghomorai expressed joy and thanked God for their success so far.
“This year’s competition is better than previous years; I thank the organisers for a well organised tournament. The competition actually kept some youths busy and away from social vices.
“I thank my players and the sponsors of the team because it is not easy to finance a football club.
“We will play our best in the final and make a statement, don’t forget we are the defending champions of Keves football competition in the state.
“I am expecting more from my players because it is not yet over.” Ghomorai said.
Also speaking, the captain of Family Love Football Academy, Victor Sunday said he was not apportioning blame to anybody for their loss.
He explained that if they had converted their chances earlier, they would have won the game, stating that they did not envisage the loss.
“I am feeling bad, we didn’t expect the loss, but we have to take it in good faith, this is football, anything can happen. What we were expecting to play the final,” Sunday stated.
