DPO Seeks Public Support For Crime Fighting

The Sani Abacha Divisional Police Officer (DPO), CSP Umana Emeru says cooperation with the public remains sacrosanct in the fight against crime in the society.
CSP Umana noted that insecurity of lives and property could be fought and defeated if synergy existed between the police and other relevant organs of the public.
CSP Umana who is new to the Sani Abacha Division explained that adequate measures have been put in place to ensure criminal elements does not have their way in the Division.
She noted that as a way to achieving this several meetings were held between her Division and various stakeholders.
She further said officers under her command had been cautioned to be proactive to achieving results.
The new Divisional Officer opined that security was everyone’s business and noted that all hands must be on deck to sustain peace.
She said safety and peace of the place could be compromised, and pointed out that residents must as a matter of urgency be security conscious and disseminates vital information to us when the need arose.
“A tree cannot make a forest hence I need the cooperation and support of all concerned to fight crime
“Being a female officer, it gives me a plus to redouble efforts to address the surmountable challenges squarely,” She said.
