Coach Identifies Football As Lucrative Business
The head coach of Solic Gold FC of Etche Local Government Area, Rivers State, Samson Nwankwoala has identified football as a lucrative business in the world.
He stated if the game is given adequate attention at the grassroots level it will create wealth and jobs opportunities for the young ones.
Nwankwoala, stated this at the weekend in an exclusive interview with Tidesports shortly after his team were eliminated from this year Rivers State AITEO Cup by Khana FC 4-1 at the Sharks stadium Port Harcourt.
He explained that football is a game of winning and losing, adding that he did not feel bad about the performance of his players because they played against a team that was sponsored by a local government chairman.
“My boys played well I didn’t feel bad over the loss because many of my players were not ready to play.
We lack sponsorship.
I do everything about the team by myself because of the love and passion I have for the game I will not give out.
I have approached a lot of people in my area but none of them was ready to assist.
All the people I met for help turned down my request.
I think with the performance of boys today if they have sponsorship they will do well in the game” Nwankwoala said.
