Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Council, Barrister George Ariolu, has expressed delight over the appointment of Prince Weli Wosu as member of the Rivers State Sanitation Task Force.
Ariolu described the choice of Wosu as a worthy recognition, noting that he would hold a front-row seat in the promotion of healthy living as a driving force for state development upon assumption of office as member of the taskforce.
In a congratulatory message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Ichenwo Goodluck, and made available to The Tide in Port Harcourt, Ariolu commended the Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, for finding a capable man in the person of Wosu to be one of the five appointees for the worthy task.
“On behalf of my wife and the good people of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, I want to express our profound delight and congratulations to Prince Weli Wosu, on his well-deserved appointment by the Rivers State Government as a member of the Sanitation Task Force”, Ariolu stated.
“The appointment did not surprise us at Obio/Akpor, given the important role you have played in driving unity and development in our dear State, in order to boost the economic growth of the state government,” Ariolu said.
“We are, therefore, happy to associate with you on this feat, as it means greater recognition for Obio/Akpor. The appointment is an indication that the state has continued to take notice of the giant contributions of the LGA to the growth and stability of the state.”
He also used the opportunity to commend the Rivers State governor on his choice of Isoboye Jack as chairman of the sanitation task force, describing him as ably qualified, and that having him in that position would benefit the state immensely.
Ariolu also lauded the appointment of former chairman of Port Harcourt City Local Government Council, Hon Victor Ihunwo, and other members of the committee, commending the commitment of the state government towards sanitising the area as well as ensuring unity, peace and progress of the state.
