Parents Rate NECO High On Conduct Of NCEE
The conduct of the 2022 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE), by the National Examination Council(NECO), has gained commendation by parents of candidates.
The examination took place on Saturday, in different centres across the nation.
Some parents who spoke to The Tide in Port Harcourt scored the conduct of the examination excellent and commended NECO officials for their display of discipline during the examination.
A parent with candidate at the Government Girls Secondary School (GGSS), Orominke, PortHarcourt, Julius GodsWill, stated that the examination was without interference of any kind.
GodsWill said “it was excellent. The supervisors/invigilators did a good job. There was no interference and it was highly disciplined. After the usual pre-exam protocols, including advise to parents, they called the children into the hall and gave us (parents) another place completely out of the hall to stay. The conduct was commendable”.
Another parent of candidates of Model Primary school, GRA, PortHarcourt, Berewareiso Wilson said “the examination was very calm. The noise we heard was the normal children noise and that was during the break period. This is the third time I have brought my children to this exam and I must tell you the conduct was good”.
On her part, Awajiokiche Unyeejit said “ it was an examination indeed. You could feel the atmosphere of examination in every sense of it. I really commend the organisers and also the children.
“The candidates are children between the ages of nine to eleven and they were very composed. Even my son was so organized. If other centres are like this one, then i give excellent to the conduct of the examination”, she stated.
Meanwhile, the NECO has placed the number of candidates enrolled in the year’s examination and seeking admission into the 110 Federal Government colleges across the nation for the 2022-3023 academic year at 69,828 with 36, 855 girls and 32,973 boys.
