The Supreme Head of Divine Order of Cherubim and Seraphim Church of Nigeria and Overseas, Prophet Solomon Adegboyega Alao has called for special prayer for the country, saying that Nigeria’s sickness is getting worse daily.
Alao made the call last Monday at the Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria’s Extraordinary National Executive Council Meeting held in PortHarcourt.
He said there was no doubt that Nigeria’s sickness is getting worse day by day and that Christians need to pray seriously for the country.
“I have to be frank, Nigeria is very seriously sick, our leaders are also sick, and corruption is the brain behind.
“Unless we change our attitudes, Nigeria is finished. I don’t want to speak negatively about the country. But we believe that God will intervene at His own time.
“My prayer is that God should not allow corrupt politicians to lead this country again,” the prophet said.
Alao used the opportunity to warn Christian pastors against false political prophecy in the country.
According to him, Christian leaders are not doing what they are expected from them when it comes to elections in the country.
He said some of them carried out false prophecy to get relevancy in political system.
Alao alleged that religion leaders are the people contributing, at least, 55percent of the country problems.
On the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, the supreme head commended members for their faithfulness and commitment to the growth of the church in Rivers State.
Alao said the church in Rivers State was among the fast growing churches in the world, urging the members to be faithful in God.
He said his episcopal visit to the church in Rivers State was to brace the National Executive Council on the development so far recorded in the church across the world.
He also said that the church has achieved a lot in the area of faith building, education, health and nation building.
