Cleric Tasks Arcdeaconry On Evangelism
The Archbishop, Province of Niger Delta, Most Rev.Blessing Enyindah, has charged the Board members of the newly created Kalabari Toru Missionary Archdeaconry to place more emphasis on evangelism.
Enyindah gave the charge recently during the inaugration of the Board at St. Andrews Anglican Church, Bakana Degema Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The Archbishop said emphasis should be on the propagation of the gospel of Christ in all rural communities in the Archdeaconry, adding that it was in line with the injunction of Jesus Christ.
The cleric also charged them to work hard towards moving the Archdeaconry to greater heights.
He also urged both the leadership of St. Andrew Anglican Church, Bakana and St. John’s Ke Parish and their sister station, St.Peter’s Church, Oguruama, as well as the Chapel of Grace, Fouchee, to work in unity towards the growth of the Kalabari Toru Archdeaconry.
Members of the Board are Ven.Vincent Binamikupe Igu, St. Andrew Parish, Bakana (Chairman); Rev. Endwell Otuene, Vicar St.John’s Ke Parish (Secretary); Mrs. Ngo Wali (Treasurer), Achdeaconry Board; Lady Nene Sokaribo IYalla, Treasurer, St.Andrew Parish; Mr.Enefa-a Omiete, Treasurer, St. John’s Ke Parish; Cate Clement Ameachi, St. Peter’s Church, Ogurama; and Cate Bokoye Hamilton Chapel of Grace, Fouchee.
It would be recalled that the immediate past Bishop, Diocese of Niger Delta, Rt.Rev.Ralph Ebirien, had announced the creation of Kalabari Toru Achdeaconry during the 2nd session of the 24th Synod of the Diocese in Port Harcourt.
It comprises St. Andrew’s Parish, Bakana, which is the headquarters; St. John’s Parish, Ke; St. Peter’s Church, Ogurama; and the chapel of Grace, Fouchee.
