Rivers Angels Set To Battle Bayelsa Queens
Rivers Angels F C of Port Harcourt says it is ready to battle their arch rivals, Bayelsa Queens today, in one of the league’s ending fixtures scheduled to hold at Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa.
The Jewels of Rivers have promised to leave no stone unturned as they encounter their opponents in an away fixtures.
The match is expected to be a showdown between the two sides as Bayelsa Queens would fight to retain the top spot and the Angels, to fight climb to the top .of the chart.
Earlier, head coach of Rivers Angels Edwin Okon has said that the match is a must win, saying that the girls (Rivers Angels) are in high spirit and determined to win today’s match.
“ We want to win this match. It is important that we secure total victory today. Having drawn our last match with Royal Queens, it is crucial for us to get this one right, as the league comes to an end,” he said.
On the other hand, Bayelsa Queens are no pushover, they are a strong and good side, so the match, no doubt is expected to be a tough one, as both teams do their thing to secure all three points in the today’s battle.
Rivers Angels are currently occupying second in Group B, while Bayelsa Queens are occupying the driver’s seat on the log table with 20 and 21 points respectively.
