NJF Invites 18 Stars To Ibadan Camp

In preparation for the forthcoming 2022 Commonwealth Games billed for Birmingham, United Kingdom, the Nigeria Judo Federation (NJF) has invited 18 judokas (nine men and nine women) to camp in Ibadan, Oyo State. The Games will hold from July 28 to August 10.
In a press statement yesterday, the federation’s Secretary General, Mrs Otumala Monica, said the 18 judokas were expected to arrive in camp at the ObafemiAwolowo Stadium Ibadan, Oyo State, latest April 15, 2022, with their training kits.
The judokas invited in the women category include: Adeyanju Adebukola (-78kg), Asonye Joy (-70kg), Azeezat AdËjat (-70kg), Augustine Esther (-70kg), James Cecilia (-63kg), Ekuta Ewa-Enku (-63kg), Agbodoberi Victoria (-63kg), Terlumun Doose (-57kg) and Agu Blessing (-57kg).
In the men’s class are Cyprain Miracle (-90kg), Micah Frank Damini (-90kg), MurtalaFatai (-81kg), IhazaOluwatosin (-81kg), Ika-BasseyNsa (-73kg), Kadijo Jonah (-73kg), Edwin Patrick (-66kg), Eniafe Solomon (-66kg) and Oyewole Samuel Rotimi (-73kg).
Also invited to join the judokas in camp are two coaches, Mr Ihaza Edokpolor and Mrs Christy Obekpa-Aremu.
NJF President, Musa Oshodi, had said during the trials held at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos: “Our primary assignment is to make judokas happy by organising many tournaments and providing good welfare package. Henceforth, judokas will not be training without reasons for it.
“After these trials, we will call winners in these categories to camp to continue the drills for the Commonwealth Games.”
