Easter: Ariolu Encourages Christians To Imbibe, Sustain Godly Values
The Chairman, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Barrister George Ariolu has joined Christians in Nigeria and all over the world in the celebration of Easter.
Ariolu shared an inspiring message on his official Facebook page, last Friday, calling on all Christians to imbibe and sustain Godly values of righteousness, peace and justice.
According to him, these are the true nature of Christ.
He stated that Christ’s death and resurrection are at the cornerstone of the Christian faith.
According to him, Christians celebrate hope, eternal life, salvation, and redemption at Easter.
“Happy Easter to Christians in Nigeria and all around the world.
“The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ are at the cornerstone of the Christian faith. At Easter, Christians celebrate hope, eternal life, salvation, and redemption.
“On this year’s Easter, I call on all Christians to imbibe and sustain godly values of righteousness, peace and justice which are the true nature of Christ.”
In his message, Ariolu also urged Nigerians not to allow the current attacks being staged by terrorists to overwhelm what he described as the riches of God’s grace and the truth of His love towards them.
He added that Easter symbolised the triumph of life over death, songs of victory over the devil and celebrations of love, mercy and grace.
He said, “I extend my best wishes to all Christian faithful in Nigeria and around the world as we celebrate this year’s Easter. These are not the best of times for Nigerians and many others around the world because of the global crisis caused by the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic and daily terrorist attacks on Christians which has disrupted the fate and fortunes of many.”
Ariolu used the opportunity to call on Nigerians to work in love, peace and unity.
He also advised the people to keep faith and hope alive so that the nation will overcome its current challenges.
“As we celebrate, I urge all Christians, indigenes and residents of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area to work in love, peace and unity and exercise faith and hope, so we can overcome our current national challenges and build a prosperous nation.”
