Bandits Abduct Scores, Set Houses Ablaze In Jos Communities
Bandits, yesterday, attacked villages in Kanam Local Government Area of Plateau State, setting houses on fire after abducting several others.
A source, who disclosed this to newsmen, named the attacked communities as Kukawa, Gyanbahu, Dungur and Keram villages near Jos.
He said several people were killed in those communities, adding that, several properties were also burnt.
Confirming the incident, yesterday, a resident of Kukawa village, Mr Adam Musalawa, said that many people were also injured in the attack.
According to him, following the attack, several residents have fled their homes.
He added that security operatives were unavailable during the attack, thereby giving the bandits free time to operate.
The spokesperson of the Plateau State Police Command, ASP Ubah Gabriel, did not respond to calls and text messages sent to him.
