2023: PDP Extends Sale Of Forms
The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party. (PDP) has extended the sale of nomination forms for all offices from April 1, 2022, to April 8, 2022.
The National Organising Secretary of the party, Umar Bature, made this known in a statement on Wednesday.
The statement was titled, ‘Extension of Sales of Forms and Rescheduling of Screening Exercises’.
The party also said the last day for the Return of already completed Forms for both the State House of Assembly and National Assembly (Senate and House of Representatives) is rescheduled for April 10, 2022, while the screening of State of House of Assembly and National Assembly aspirants is also moved to April 12 and 14, 2022 respectively.
The PDP has pegged its nomination form for “State House of Assembly Expression of Interest: N100,000; Nomination Form, N500,000. House of Representatives: Expression of Interest, N500,000; Nomination Form, N2,000,000.
“Senate: Expression of Interest, N500,000; Nomination Form, N3,000,000. Governorship: Expression of Interest, N1,000,000; Nomination Form, 20,000,000.
“President: Expression of Interest, N5,000,000; Nomination Form, N35,000,000.”
Meanwhile, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has dissolved the state, local government and ward executive committees in Kano State with immediate effect.
The party announced this in a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Mr Debo Ologunagba in Abuja, on Tuesday.
Ologunagba said that the decision was taken following the recent developments in the Kano State chapter of the party.
He said that the decision was taken by the NWC on behalf of the National Executive Committee (NEC) and pursuant to Sections 29(2)(b) and 31(2) of the Constitution of the party.
“In their place, the NWC has approved the appointment of the Kano State Caretaker Committee to run the affairs of the party in the State for a period of 90 (ninety) days beginning from today, March 29, pursuant to Section 24(2) of the PDP Constitution 2017 (as amended),” he said.
Ologunagba listed members of the caretaker committee as Alhaji Ibrahim Atta (Chairman) Alhaji Ibrahim Dan’Iy, HajiyaLadidiDangalan, Hon. AminuJungau, MukhtarJanguza, AbdullahiSulaiman and Baba Lawan (Secretary)
“The PDP urges all leaders, critical stakeholders and teeming members of our party in Kano State to remain united and focused for the task ahead,” he said.
