NPFL:  Eguma Bags LBA Award

Rivers United FC of Port Harcourt Technical Manager, Stanley Eguma on Sunday received 2021/2022 Nigeria Professional Football League,( NPFL), Manager of the Month award of January,  from League Bloggers Association (LBA).
Eguma led Rivers United to three straight wins in the NPFL, Kwara United, MFM FC and Heartland FC and three draws against Sunshine Stars, Niger Tornadoes and Remo Stars in the month of January.
Rivers United was also unbeaten during this period, scored 10 and conceded three goals only.
The award was presented to him before the kickoff of Match day 19 encounter between Rivers United and Akwa United at the AdokiyeAmiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt.
This was contained in statement signed by the media officer of Rivers United FC, Charles Mayuku and made available to Tidesports on Monday.
“This award will spur him to work harder, the award is a good one and it is the third time I have won this particular award.
It is a highly motivational award for me it has showed that Nigerian coaches are doing well in the NPFL” Eguma said.
He attributed the success to the management of the club, technical crew members and players for the role their played.
He commended the impressive performance of indigenous Coaches in Nigeria, saying that it high time people believe in them. He also appreciates the LBA for the award.
He further charged the players to keep faith to enable them win the League.
