NDLEA Nabs 31-Yr-Old Man With Cannabis
Operatives of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Cross River State Command have intercepted a 31-year old man for trafficking cannabis from Mbok junction, Cross River State to Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.
The arrest was based on a tip off at the Yahe check point of NDLEA that Oda Sunday Igwe was carrying cannabis via a commercial bus with registration number KUJ 326FX.
The operatives, upon arrival of the commercial bus thoroughly searched the vehicle with all the passengers on board.
A report indicated that the search led to discovery of two heavy white bags of dried weed suspected to be cannabis.
After the discovery of the substance, the suspect allegedly accepted ownership of the two bags.
The command’s Public Relations Officer, Kenneth Odili,confirmed that investigation into the case has since commenced, adding that more details shall be provided as the matter progresses.
