Cleric Tasks Christian Faithful On Contentment
The Founder of First Love Assembly, Pastor Simeon Afolabi, has advised Christians all over the world to live a life of contentment instead of resorting to unhealthy competition.
Afolobi, gave the advice, last weekend, during his 60th birthday anniversary celebration and book launch, at the church headquarters, Rumuokwuta in Port Harcourt.
According to him, once life is seen as a competition, there becomes tendencies of doing wrong.
“ There should be no competition in life. If you want to compete, you will do wrong things, learn how to live a life of contentment, as well as making sacrifices”.
He explained that running a ministry was quite different from doing a mere office job, saying that if one is not called by God, it is difficult getting it right.
“God often equips those he called to do His work. what God requires of you, is to be an obedient servant,” he said.
The clergyman equally said that God has been faithful to him doing His works, stating that it was a very tough and turbulent beginning.
Narrating his journey in the Ministry, the man of God maintained that the height attained by great men, especially men of God is not by sudden flight.
The occasion was well attended by clergymen, members of the church and other dignitaries.
