2022 Prudent Energy Handball Premier League Begins, May

The 2022 Prudent Energy Handball Premier League will begin with the competition’s first phase in May in Abuja, Secretary-General of the Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN), Maigidansanma Mohammed, has said.
Mohammed told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday in Abuja that the HFN board fixed a date during their most recent quarterly meeting.
“The board has approved the first phase of the top tier handball league to hold from May 22 to June 4 in Abuja, and by now all the participating teams would have started preparing,” he said.
The federation Secretary-General said also that the league’s second phase is expected to hold in Lagos later in the year.
He further said the HFN board has also resolved to organise a three-day Refresher Course for Premier League Coaches and Referees before the commencement of the competition’s first phase.
“The date for this is yet to be decided. But it is a necessity for the coaches and referees, to know the latest rudiments of the game,” Mohammed said.
