Rivers Wrestler Reassures On Preparation For 2022
Rivers State Wrestling Coach, Eli Oyomunede, has reiterated his team’s commitment to training , as they prepare for the line up of events this year.
Oyomunede disclosed this yesterday in an exclusive interview with Tidesports in Port Harcourt.
According to him, there are lined up programmes for the association, even at the national level, saying that early preparation with commitment is what the team needs to pull through the task ahead.
“All we need to ensure a competent and favourable outing is to remain focused and committed and as well stick to our plans to compete honourably when the chips are down,” Oyomunede said.
He explained that the team has already begun preparation for the forthcoming first edition of Governor Diri Wrestling Championship, which is expected to hold next month in Bayelsa State.
“Also, Governor Wike Wrestling Championship is billed for later this year and there is the National Sports Festival coming up in November,” he noted.
We need to prepare for these championships and other engagements too. There is no time for joke and relaxation. We need to work assiduously to ensure better outing when the competition gets underway.
It would be recalled that the Governor Diri Wrestling Championship which was supposed to hold last December was shifted to the first quarter of this year.
