Rivers Angels Striker Eyes Second CAF Ticket

Rivers Angels striker, Vivian Ikechukwu has said that her target is to see the team (Rivers Angels FC) back to the CAF Women’s Champions League for the second time in a row.
Ikechukwu disclosed this after her team defeated visiting Sunshine Queens FC 2-1in one of the week7 fixtures played at the UNIPORT sports Complex.
My target is to take the team back to the CAF Women’s Champions League for the second time in a row.” Ikechukwu said.
Scoring her first goal of the season, Ikechukwu said it was a thing of joy for her.
“The goal came at the right time, it came when it was needed and I’m so excited about it. I was wowed when I scored,” she began.
“I was very positive yesterday ahead of the game today because that’s how I operate, I never give up on the things I set myself to accomplish.
The team is now on mid-season break after the week7 encounter which saw the Jewels of Rivers leading their group, Group B with 13 points from six matches.
It would be recalled that the NWFL mid-season break commenced after Wednesday’s round of games with action expected to resume on February 23, 2022 with Rivers Angels traveling to Akure to face Sunshine Queens in the reverse fixture of Wednesday’s game.
