The Technical Manager of Rivers United FC of Port Harcourt, Stanley Eguma has said that they will go all out against Abia Warriors in match day 13 of the Nigeria Professional Football League, (NPFL) in Okigwe today.
According to him, playing against Abia Warriors has always been tough, adding that they have planned to get victory.
Eguma stated this in his post match interview with sports journalists last Saturday shortly after they thrashed Wikki Tourists 3-0 in the match day 12 of the NPFL at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt.
He pointed out that they are going to Okigwe to put up a very good fight to get the maximum three points, emphasising that at this rival of the competition, he would not want to drop any points.
“It is a derby game.
Abia Warriors are always a stage opponent.
Playing them is always a tough encounter but we are planning towards the game to ensure we get away points,” Eguma said.
The number one coach of the State expressed optimism that they are going there to put up a good fight to ensure they remain on top of the log.
“Because as it stands, we are working very serious to win every game we play.
Abia Warriors is not just a team you will write off, considering that they have a very good coaching crew.
It is not easy whenever the two teams are playing,” he stated.
The pride of Rivers bounced back to the top of the league after a win against Wikki Tourists last Saturday.
