Rivers United FC of Port Harcourt will tomorrow play host to Wikki Tourists FC of Makurdi in match day 12 encounter at the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt.
The pride of Rivers that lost its first game this season in match day 11 against Plateau United is expected to bounce back to its winning ways.
Speaking, yesterday in a telephone interview with Tidesports the captain of the side, Austin Festus, said the game against Wikki Tourists is going to be a tough one.
According to him, his players are not happy after they lost to Plateau United away from home last week, adding that their plan was to win every match that comes their way this season.
“Playing against Wikki Tourists is going to be a difficult match.
We just lost an away match against Plateau United, we, the players are not happy because we know our target this season.
We plan not to lose any match again for us to win the league, but we were very unlucky that we lost away against Plateau United.
We are going all out to ensure that we secure the maximum three points.
Our aim as players is just to make our fans happy in any match that comes our way,” he stated.
The captain explained that the pride of Rivers is blessed with a good technical crew and that is more reason why the club secures continental tickets in the past three seasons.
He noted that Fatai Osho being part of the technical crew is a plus to the team.
