Man Allegedly Commits Suicide In PH

The Rivers State police have confirmed that a young man simply identified as a Justice from Rivers State was found dead with rope tied on his neck and hung on a tree at the back of Octopus Sandfill jetty at Eagle Island in Port Harcourt City Local Government Area of the State over the weekend
The acting Police Public Relations Officer of the command, DSP Grace Iringe-Koko made the confirmation while speaking to our correspondent on phone and added that an investigation had been launched into the incident to unravel the remote and immediate causes.
According to a report, the deceased was a member of Tipper Drivers Association of Nigeria, Eagle Island branch before taking his life on that fateful Sunday morning.
Our correspondent who visited the scene of the incident reports that the members of the association were in utter disbelief and shock and added that an emergency meeting of the group had been summoned over the incident.
The South-South Zonal Chairman of the Association, Prince Barifodum confirmed receiving the report of the death of their member, Justice but said he could not comment further on the matter.
As at press time, the Azikiwe Divisional Police headquarters had evacuated the corpse of the alleged suicider to an undisclosed morgue awaiting the outcome of the police investigation.
