The Promise Keepers won at home for the first time in four home games, when they beat Dakkada FC over the weekend.
It was also their second victory from two outings, since Jolomi replaced Kennedy Boboye, who resigned from the position after poor run of results.
“Our victory against Dakkada is a clear sign that we are gradually improving game after game” Jolomi told newsmen in Uyo.
“We did not just play to the gallery but we played to win and I am happy that we won.”
The 3-2 success over neighbours Dakkada also means, the league defending champions have now won back to back game for the first time this season, but Jolomi insists, the team has a lot of work to do.
“We have recorded back-to-back victories for the first time this season but the truth is that we are not there yet, because we still have a great deal of work to do to ensure we have a formidable team,” he concluded.
Akwa United will next travel to Jos for a date with Plateau United on Sunday, 27th February, 2022.
