New DPO Promises To Enhance Crime Fighting
In a bid to reposition for effective and efficient service, the Rivers State police Command has deployed the Akpajo Divisional Police Officer, CSP Dabo Isa
CSP Isa, we leant is going on retirement from the force.
However, he had been replaced by SP Ifeanyi Emma
Recall Akpajo police division is under Eleme Local Government Area
SP Ifeanyi while speaking on his assumption reiterated his zeal to fighting crime in the division.
He explained that it would not be business as usual and warned criminal elements to steer clear of the area or face full weight of the law
The new DPO said under his watch, the existing peace enjoyed by the residents championed by his predecessors would be sustained.
SP Ifeanyi said his first port of call would be relevant stakeholders including traditional rulers, CDCs, youth bodies and women groups
He said the motive was aimed at seeking their support as no single individual could fight crime alone.
“In the area of information sharing, surveillance, we need collective effort of everyone”.
He warned officers under him to desist from act of jeopardising the effort of the Commissioner of Police in the state.
Meanwhile, Rumuosi OSPAC Commander Mr Amadi Stephen, says his community since immemorial has been peaceful.
Stephen, disassociates his men and Rumuosi community of any bunkering activities
Stephen, who doubles as Romuosi chief security Officer condemned any act of bunkering, saying its environmental hazard could be disastrous.
He said even government and residents of his community can attest to the fact that they mind their business, not bunkering.
“We are totally against bunkering. Any where we see it in Rumuosi, we will alert the government.
“We are restricted to our job of keeping the community safe with the support of the security agents,” he said.
