Daniel Vows To End Illegal Bunkering In Abua/Odual

As the fight against soot in Rivers State intensifies, the Chairman of Abua/Odual Local Government Area, Hon. Daniel Daniel, has again, led the operational team against illegal oil bunkering to knock down two uncovered artisanal refinery sites in the LGA.
The sites, which were located around bank of Odaga River, had two refining dumps with five cooking ovens containingcrude oil supplies from Kilometre 19, situated at Emohua LGA.
Speaking after the operations, Daniel reiterated his commitment towards the health and safety of the people, stating that his administration would not renege on the decision to clamp down on all illegal oil bunkering and refining activities within Abua/Odual.
He said this was imperative because the menace was causing the soot being experienced in the state.
Daniel thanked the people of Abua/Odual for the cooperation they were giving him in efforts to tackle the soot menace.
The ABOLGA Chief Executive further commended the efforts of the state Governor, Chief NyesomWike, for the proactive and genuine efforts aimed at ending thesoot, adding that the quality of airflow has improved tremendously since the governor launched the operation against the ravaging soot in the state.
The operational team led by the chairman, had the DPO of the Abua/Odual Divisional Police Command and his men, the Chief of Staff to the council, Hon. Okpokipoiy Peters; Supervisor for Works, Barrister Zinami Iwariso, amongst others.
