The member representing Obio/Akpor Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Kingsley Chinda, has admonished members of Obio/Akpor Social Media Group not to allow challenges facing the group to deter them from promoting the activities of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Chinda gave the advice when the group visited him during the celebration of New Year at his country home in Elelenwo, near Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
The lawmaker while outlining the trajectory of his personal experience in politics, encouraged members of the group to give a shot at politics, saying “with God on your side, nothing will be impossible.”
Chinda said many people get discouraged in the face of challenges, urging them to be faithful unto God who alone has solutions to the plethora of challenges facing humanity.
He commended Obio/Akpor Social Media Group for their continued support to the party and for promoting all activities of the state government, saying that their incisive reports during the campaigns made it easier for him to sell his message to the electorate.
While appreciating the efforts of the media, he also took the opportunity to roll out some of the achievements of the government, and further made projections on the shape of things to come in 2022 and beyond.
Speaking earlier, the Coordinator of the Social Media Group in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Mr Martins Wachukwu listed some of the challenges the group has faced over the years.
According to him, “We have been following the consistency of Rep Kingsley China since he assumed office. Data placed before us revealed that you have been very loyal, consistent, and remain the voice of Rivers State at the National Assembly”.
In a vote of thanks, Mr Kelvin Elewa commended Rep Kingsley Chinda for his developmental strides in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, and pledged the readiness of the group to continue to work towards the promotion and propagation of the policies and programmes of elected officials under the platform of the PDP in the local government in particular and the state in general.
