Telecom Subscribers Bemoan Absence Of Network Service In Rivers Community
Telecom subscribers in Omerelu Community in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State have decried the suspension of 9mobile services in the community by the network provider.
Some of the subscribers who spoke with The Tide in the community, said that the network provider had suspended its service for more than two weeks.
One of the subscribers who gave his name as Bobby Amadi, described the experience 9moblie subscribers are going through as horrible and frustrating especially during this festivity period.
According to Amadi, the suspension of 9mobile service has paralysed businesses and social life in the community.
He recalled that 9mobile was one of the leading network providers in the community and expressed regrets that the provider had subjected its customers to serious network hardship for more than 15 days.
Another 9mobile subscriber, Ejima Omah, chastised the network provider for poor management and customer service relations, saying no reasonable organisation would want to record any financial loss during Yuletide season.
In the same vein, another subscriber, Promise Aso, expressed regrets that service providers in the country were fond of always disappointing subscribers without sanctions from the regulatory bodies.
He denied any knowledge of technical fault, and added that the network provider was yet to come up with any explanation.
The Tide learnt that the 9mobile telecommunications service shares the same mast with Airtel, but while Airtel has remained in service, 9mobile has suspended its service in the area.
Our correspondent could not, however, reach the spokesperson of the telecom provider for comments as at the time of filing this report.
