Rivers Angels Coach Vows To Defend Team’s Titles

Head Coach of Rivers Angels FC of Port Harcourt, Edwin Okon, has reassured fans of the club that his team will defend and sustain titles won in the 2020/2021 Premiership League Season at the ongoing Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL).
Okon, who disclosed this at the weekend, said that the players are in high spirits and are determined to hit their target, saying that the League had just begun and  there is time to assiduously actualise  their goal.
“The players are ready for the season, we have put in so much work to ensure that we compete honourably this season, as we always have done. We are champions and we shall fight as champions to get our goal at the end of the season,” Okon said.
The Team (Rivers Angels FC) in the league opening match of the season, on Wednesday, played a goaless(0-0)draw with opponent, Delta Queens of Asaba at the Asaba Township Stadium.
Rivers Angels will now play host to FC Robo Queens of Lagos on Wednesday, at the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) Football Pitch, Choba.
The Jewels of Rivers now prepares to welcome their visitors in the week two fixture of the NWFL season, FC Robo Queens who won their game against Abia   Angels in one of the week one games played at the Legacy Pitch, Surulere, Lagos State.
It would be recalled that the Jewels of Rivers are the defending champions of the league title.
