NDE Trains 100 Graduates On Entrepreneurship Skills In Kaduna

The National Directorate of Employment (NDE), says it has begun the training of 100 unemployed graduates and school leavers on entrepreneurship skills in Kaduna.
Mrs Victoria Williams-Dada, the Acting State Coordinator, NDE, stated this in an interview with The Tide source yesterday in Kaduna.
Williams-Dada, said the five-day training which began on Dec. 14, is designed to change the mindset of the graduates and encourage them to learn trades to become self-reliant instead of awaiting white-collar jobs.
“The rate at which people graduate from the higher institutions has been on the rise over the years while  government and private sector employment is shrinking.
“That is why the Director-General and his management team through the Small Scale Enterprises Department in collaboration with a consultant firm Nazeemursaj brought the training on entrepreneurship,” she said.
The Coordinator said that the participants would be train on how to conduct feasibility study and prepare business plan to enable them access loans to establish their businesses.
One of the participants, Mr Williams Damusa, commended the gesture, saying it would assist them to set up successful businesses.
Damusa said that he had learnt how to write feasibility studies and business plan, adding that he would start a business after the training.
Another participant, Sani Aminu, described the training as educative, adding that he was exposed to resource and business management.
Aminu said he would seek for facility from the Bank of Agriculture using the NDE certificate, to enable him to set up his business.
