LGA Boss Advises Youths To Be Resourceful

The Chairman of Ahoada East Local Government Area, Hon. Ben Israel Eke, has advised  youths in Ekpeyeland to deploy their talents for resource generation and capacity building.
He stated that stakeholders in the area also have their roles to play in terms of peace and deveploment in the society.
Eke gave the advice on Tuesday while handing the trophy to the winners of the competition, Non-Indigenes FC, at Government Primary School, Ahoada East, saying that peaceful environment creates meaningful deveploment and job creation.
Speaking at the event the Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Edison Ehie, who is representing AELGA Constituency two, also supported the chairman.
He noted that the youths have conducted themselves peacefully since the competition started.
“ I  noted that the youths had behaved very peacefully and admirably from the start of the competition to the end and that was encouraging to all would-be investors” , Ehie said.
Also speaking, the Special Assistant to the Chairman on Sports, Chief Richard  E. Ihua-Maduenyi, commended the participated teams and officials for their peaceful disposition during and after the tournament.
According to him, the chairman has again proven his love for the youths and capacity deveploment in the area, through the sponsorship of various sporting events.
The finals which was witnessed by huge crowd saw Non-Indigenes FC, beat Edeoha United 4-3  on penalties, after playing draw in regulation time and take home the first prize of N500,000.
Other dignitaries who attended the event are;  Commissioner for Special Duties, Emeka Onowu, Special Guest of Honour, Vice Chairman of the Council, Dr. Rose I.Ololube, Hon.Charles Ihua-Maduenyi and Special Adviser to Governor Wike on Security, Hon. Victor Ekaro.
