CLO Seeks Cop Promotion For Examplary Dedication To Duty
The Civil Liberties Organisation (CLO) has urged the Inspector-General (I-G) of Police and Police Service Commission to promote CSP Rabiu Garba, Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in-charge of the Fegge community in Onitisha, Anambra State for exemplary dedication.
The Chairman of CLO Anambra, Comrade Vincent Ezekwueme, made the call while speaking with newsmen in Enugu on Friday.
Ezekwueme spoke on the sidelines of the 2021 Universal Declaration of Human and People’s Rights.
“The 2021 Universal Declaration of Human and People’s Rights will be incomplete and incompetent if we failed to recognise, commend, appreciate and extol police officer, CSP Rabiu Garba.
“It is on record that he has brought honour, respect, admiration, pride and great value to the Nigeria Police Force.
“His patriotism and selflessness was reciprocated during last year’s ENDSARS protest in which his Division was not only spared but he received unprecedented gifts and praises.
“He has used wise counsel and empowerment to convert many youths to be law-abiding citizens,” he added.
The chairman appealed to the I-G to promote Garba to his next rank as an encouragement to patriotism, hard work, and selflessness.
