Wike, Diri, 66 Others Get BMN Awards, Dec 26

Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike; Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri; and Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello will be honoured with the prestigious Bayelsa Media Network Awards on December 26, 2021.
According to the organisers, others to also receive awards are Bayelsa State Commissioner for Education, Hon Gentle Emelah; Chairman, Nigeria Labour Congress, Bayelsa State Chapter, Comrade Ndiomu Bipre John, and Chairman, Trade Union Congress, Bayelsa State chapter, Comrade Julius Laye.
The organisers said the awardees are deserving of recognition in form of awards of excellence for the contributions they have made in their respective fields of endeavour to the development of their immediate locality, state and Nigeria.
The Third Edition of the epoch-making award ceremony would take place on Sunday, December 26, 2021 at the Nigeria Union of Journalists Secretariat, Ernest Ikoli Press Centre, Azikoro Road, Ekeki, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
Other awardees are Speaker, House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila; Dr. Josephine Diete-Spiff; member representing Kolokuma/Opokuma Constituency I, Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Hon. Tonye Isenah; Chairman, Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area Council, Bayelsa State, Chief Dengiye Ubarugu; Commander Felix George, Barrister Ogun Poubeni, and Mr. Tulagha Solomon, Nengi James Foundation.
Also on the list are Special Adviser, Political to Bayelsa State Governor, Chief Collins Cocodia; Chief Executive Officer, Brikari Limited, Bright Ayebakari; Prof. Brisibe Seiyefa; Prof. Benedict Binebai; Kabiyesi Oluwaloni; Abdullahi Abdullahi; and Chairman, NUJ, Bayelsa State, Comrade Samuel Numonengi.
Prophet Lulu Ekpokeme, Bishop Mike and Faith Okpokpor, Dr. Anyens Adogu, are also to be honoured at the event.
The list also includes Mr. Kola Oredipe, Mr. Damabide Stanley, Mr Ottah Ebimietei, Mr. Elekele Roland, Mr. Binaebi Eselemo, Mr Michael Godstime, Mr. Isah Enemaku, Mr Clever Inodu – IYC Chairman, Central Zone, Mr. Esekpa Ofem, Hon. Paul Ebikeseiye, Alhaja Olaniyi Mujidat, and Mr. Ebi Ozegbe.

Former Commandant, National Defence College, Rear Admiral Thomas Jonah Lokoson (rtd) is expected to chair the event.
