We’ve Vowed To Reposition Emohua, LGA Boss Pledges …As Legislative Assembly Passes Confidence Vote On Lloyd
The 9th Emohua Legislative Assembly has passed vote of confidence on the Chairman of the local government council, Dr Chidi Lloyd, following the chairman’s laudable achievements within few months in office.
Speaking after members of Emohua Legislative Assembly joined the council chairman to inspect projects being executed across the local government area, as part of their oversight function, the Leader of the assembly, Hon. Love Nyenke, said the infrastructural projects initiated across the local government area by the administration of Chidi Lloyd within the past few months were unprecedented.
According to Nyenke; “Members of Emohua Legislative Assembly are impressed with the prudent management of the slim resources available to the local government council for the development of the local government area, as exhibited by the council chairman within his very few months in office.
“We can see that the local government area is making tremendous progress under his watch, and we are confident that he would reposition the local government area before the end of his tenure.”
The leader reiterated the unwavering support of members of the Legislative Assembly for the administration, stressing that the legislative assembly stands solidly behind the council chairman, in his tireless effort to reposition the LGA.
Lloyd, who conducted members of Emohua Legislative Assembly round the project sites across the LGA, thanked them for their support for his administration, and promised to always maintain cordial relationship with the legislature for the overall development of the LGA.
The council chairman said his administration has made deliberate efforts to reposition Emohua, which he said, was already yielding positive results within his few months in office.
According to Lloyd; “We have denied ourselves personal benefits to ensure that we reposition Emohua LGA. I thank those working with me for making sacrifices for the development of our LGA.
“We cannot do otherwise because we were elected to do what we are doing and our best is what we will continue to do to rewrite the story of our LGA.”
He noted that his administration was able to embark on critical infrastructural projects across the LGA out of the recoveries made from over-payment of salaries and other irregularities intercepted in the nominal roll of the council on assumption of office.
Speaking further, Lloyd enjoined members of the local government legislative council to jettison selfish interest, and join hands with him to further advance development in the LGA.
The project sites visited include the ultra-modern Emohua Local Government Council Secretariat building, the reconstruction and remodelling of the legislative council complex, the council healthcare centre (primary healthcare), the ICT centre, the staff canteen and the Titan Trust Bank ATM gallery, all situated within the council secretariat.
Others are the local government vigilante services secretariat building, grading of Anara-Odumgbe Road and adjoining streets in Isiodu-Emohua, 1-kilometre Eveku community road, 1.5kilometre Ukeli Road in Rundele, 1-kilometre Ubimini community road, fencing and gatehouse project at police headquarters and Customary Court in Rumuji town, as well as the renovation of the temporary site for Emohua Magistrate Court in Elele-Alimini.
