LG Names School After Wike

The Khana Local Government Council, yesterday at the end of its Finance and General Purpose Committee (F&GPC) meeting resolved to name the newly built primary school in Nyowii Baen Community after the State Governor
The school is henceforth known as Nyesom Ezenwo Wike Model Primary School, Nyowii Baen.
Speaking shortly after the meeting, the Chairman of the Local Government Area, Dr. Thomas Bariere stated that the resolution was reached as a way of immortalising the developmental strides and transformative footprints of the governor in the state.
He said, “the entire F&GPC of Khana Local Government Council resolved that the newly built school by the Khana Local Government in Nyowii Baen be named after the Executive Governor of Rivers State. This justification has come as a result of the transformative project that has changed the lives of Rivers people”.
The Khana Council boss further said that the developmental strides already initiated across the LGA by his administration was patterned after the Governor’s programme of development.
“As a government, we feel it’s important for people to continue to remember, that Gov. Wike has left a legacy that will stand the test of time and serve as a model for governments even after his time in office’” the chairman said.
He said naming the school after the Governor of the State was also his administration’s way of expressing gratitude to him for all he has done for Khana indigenes and the people of the state.
