Coach Advises Rivers Angels On Team Cohesion
The head coach of Under 16 SKE FC of Port Harcourt, Tonye Omulabo, has advised Rivers Angles FC to play to team cohesion, if they want to qualify from group B in the ongoing CAF Women Championship League, (CAFWCL) in Egypt.
According to him, before the kickoff of the competition, he said that Rivers Angels will get to the final or win the trophy because Nigeria has the most talented players when it comes to female football in Africa.
Omulabo made the assertion yesterday on a Radio programme monitord by Tidesports in Port Harcourt.
He stated that, after watching Rivers Angels’ two matches played so far in the competition, I realised that the team did not have what it takes to win a tournament, coaching and technically.
“After watching their two games against ASFAR club of Morocco and Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies of South Africa, in terms of team coordination, cohension and team play, they are not there.
In terms of technical play, our girls are not playing their top game.
I know this is their first time playing in a continental game,” Coach Omulabo said.
He disclosed that, if they want to win matches they should play to team work and create chances to score goals.
Rivers Angels have lost its two games in the CAFWCL and today they will be playing their last group game against Vihiga Queens of Kenya.
“How can you score goals when you cannot do good passes.
I think, if they could change the pattern of play today, in their last group match against the Kenyan side, they will win,” he added.
