Army Tasks LGA On Collaboration

The Nigerian Army, 6 Division, has sensitised the people of Ogba/Egbema Ndoni Local Government Area of the state on the need to collaborate with the military by giving out useful information that would assist in fighting crime and criminality in the area.
Garrison Commander , 6 Division , Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Mohammed Danja made the appeal at an event for an exercise tagged, “Still Water” town hall security meeting and interactive session in the LGA.
He said the exercise which is in joint effort with other sister agencies was put in place to fight crime and criminality during the ember months .
The 6 Division Provost Group ,Port Harcourt, Major Taiwo Ologe in his lecture said security is a collective responsibility and the absence of security leads to breakdown of laws and order.
On his part, the Chairman of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LGA, Vincent Job while commending the Army urged them to assist the LGA in tackling the issue of herdsmen who go about the area destroying people’s farm lands.
Job also urged the youths to shun crime so that development can come to the local government area.
The Tide reports that the Garrison Commander , 6 Division , Nigerian Army, Bridgader General Danja had earlier assured the people that the issues of herders destroying their farm lands with cattles would be addressed, especially as the state government had passed the Anti-grazing Law.
