Anyanwu Lauds Nsirim Over Best Commissioner Award

Elder statesman and Patron of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Rivers State Council, Prince Emma Anyanwu, has said that the recognition of Rivers State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Pastor Paulinus Nsirim as the Most Outstanding Commissioner of the Year was well deserved.
Anyanwu said this in a statement made available to newsmen in Port Harcourt, last Monday.
According to him, such great feat was as a result of dedication, and a testament of his hard work and excellent performance.
It would be recalled that Nsirim was at the weekend, honoured as the most Outstanding Commissioner of the Yearin the state by the organisers of the Garden City Advancement Award 2021at an elaborate ceremony in Port Harcourt, last Sunday.
Anyanwu also noted that the award was not surprising, and added that Nsirim has discharged his responsibilities to the admiration of his boss, Governor Nyesom Wike.
“The NUJ family in Rivers State and beyond is quite happy with the award as this further places journalists and journalism on a high pedestal”, he said.
He also urged the commissioner not to rest on his oars, but to continue to work for the success of the Governor Nyesom Wike-led administration in the state.
“This is a clarion call on the commissioner to do more in the discharge of his duties as the spokesman for Rivers State Government. As a patron of NUJ, I am quite proud of his humility and support for his boss”, he said.
He was of the view that Nsirim’s hard work and excellent performance would sometime catapult him to greater heights, and emphasised the need for him to work harder.
“I can only call on him to continue to do more for his boss and the state at large. With God, greater responsibilities lie ahead and it is our hope that he would also perform when such opportunities arise,” he said.
