The Ogoni apex socio-cultural organisation, KAGOTE, has applauded the Chairman of Tai Local Government Area, Sir Mbakpone Okpe, for his lauable achievements within 100 days in office.
The Tai council boss outlined the numerous achievements and projects embarked upon by his administration to KAGOTE when its leaders paid a courtesy visit on him in his office at Saakpenwa, the LG headquarters.
Okpe explained that these achievements could not have been possible, if not for the support of his team and the various stakeholders.
The chairman took the KAGOTE Executive on an inspection tour to the various sites of the projects, as he emphasised the benefits of the projects on Tai people and Ogoni at large.
In his response, President of KAGOTE, Hon. Emma Deeyah, said that the LG chairman had done well, especially in the area of health, stressing that giving the people health insurance that gives access to free medical care in any hospital of their choice in Nigeria was a novel achievement for the Tai people.
Deeyah further said that Tai LGA was the youngest of all Ogoni LGAs, saying that seeing a chairman achieving all the numerous feats within a short period in office made him believe that there was hope for the future.
