Chiefs Laud LG Boss Over Achievements
The Oguruama Council of Chiefs has lauded the Chairman of Degema Local Government Area, Mr. Michael John Williams, for his impactful administration.
The Council of Chiefs made the commendation Tuesday, during a ‘Thank You’ visit to the council boss, in appreciation of his good works in the last 100 days in office.
Speaking during the visit, the Chairman of Oguruama Council of Chiefs, Chief Ben Orugbani, stated that the Council of Chiefs and the entire people of Oguruama were impressed and happy with the Council boss for his sterling achievements, particularly for the Oguruama Footbridge being executed by his administration, as well as the appointment of their son as a Supervisor in the Local Government Area.
He said the quality of projects being executed by the administration in the various communities showed that the Chairman is a man of taste, just like his mentor, the Governor of State, Chief Nyesom Wike.
Chief Orugbani noted that the Chairman had changed the narrative in such a short time in office, making DELGA a place to be reckoned with once again.
He however, appealed to the Council boss to intervene in some developmental needs of the community, like rehabilitation of the health centre, school, Town Hall as well as security challenges.
Responding, the Council Chairman thanked the chiefs for the visit, assuring that the Council would continue to do its best to make life better for the people of the LGA.
While noting that the footbridge executed for the community was not all he had in mind for Oguruama, he however urged them to be patient, as his administration’s focus is on executing projects in the four remaining communities of the Local Government Area.
He assured that some communities would get more projects, depending on the availability of funds and the nature of their needs.
On the issue of security challenges, Mr.Williams assured that he was on top of the situation, adding that plans were on to sustainably address the issue.
