RSFA Opens Registration For Keves, All Stars Tourney

The Acting Chairman of Rivers State Football Association (RSFA), Ibigoni Benjamin-Akobo, says registration of clubs has commenced for the second edition of the Keves Football Championship and All Stars tournament in the state. 
He stated that the registration is open for all amateur  football clubs in the 23 Local Government Areas, saying that the competition is not for any League player. 
Akobo made this known in a press briefing, last Tuesday, at the RSFA Secretariat, Ernest Ikoli Press Centre, Moscow road, Port Harcourt. 
According to him, the competition is expected to commence second week of next month and ends in a six weeks duration.  
“Registration of clubs for the second edition of Keves Football Competition has just started  with a registration fee of ten thousand naira, while registration form for All Stars is N30,000, clubs can pick their form at RSFA Secretariat.   
“This competition is not for any League player, because our target is to discover hidden talents. Any club that featured League player will be penalised. The tournament is scheduled to start second week of next month to end in six weeks time and four matches is to be played a day,” Akobo said.
He revealed that winner of the competition will take home N700,000, while second and third place will smile home with the sum of N500,000 and N300,000 respectively. 
Akobo further disclosed that winners of the All Stars tournament are to cart away N300,000, while second and third get N200,000 and N100,000 respectively.
