We Are Test Running Players With PHCL – IAUOE  Coach

The Head Coach of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, (IAUOE), football team of Rivers State, Barry Peter, has said that the ongoing Port Harcourt City League (PHCL) competition will be used  to test run his players for the Higher Instiution Football League, (HIFL).
He disclosed that the PHCL tournament had helped him to discover the fitness level of his players and he will build on them accordingly.
Peter stated this on Wednesday, in his post match interview with sports journalists just after his boys defeated Corinthians FC 2-1 for the ongoing PHCL at the Nigeria Air Force Base football pitch in Port Harcourt.
He described the winning as a good one, adding that, the tournament has been keeping his players very busy, while he is using the event to test the competence of the players.
Also, to give  them  the needed preparations to enable them compete favourably in the  HIFL.
“It was a good game, I must give it to my players, having come out victorious.
We are only test running my boys, even as we play our matches.
We will use this tournament to discover players that are fit for the team in the higher task ahead of us.
